Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrator to join their team on a 3-month maternity cover contract.
Customer Service and Employee Support:
- Provide efficient friendly and effective HR administrative support to all iStore employees.
- Handle HR-related complaints and queries professionally and confidentially.
- Uphold company values policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Advise line managers on potential employee conflict situations.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with company policies procedures and legal requirements.
General HR Administration:
- Draft and manage accurate contracts promotions increases and incentive letters.
- Ensure correct documentation is used filed and easily accessible.
- Obtain and verify all required authorisations for starters and leavers.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with legislative requirements.
- Compile onboarding packs for all new employees.
- Review monthly attendance registers and follow up on discrepancies.
- Conduct HR Administration workshops.
- Ensure each employee has a complete and compliant personnel file.
Payroll Coordination:
Ensure timeous communication of all required documentation to payroll including:
- Employee changes
- Casual hours
- New starter documentation
- Staff purchase documentation
- Termination documentation
Employee Benefits Administration:
- Understand and advise employees on all company benefits.
- Manage medical aid and provident fund queries.
- Process UIF and Workers Compensation documentation.
- Ensure compulsory benefits enrolment for all new employees.
- Manage ad-hoc benefits and expense claims.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate monthly induction training for new starters.
- Ensure all training is accurately captured on FileMaker.
- Facilitate induction sessions when required.
Labour Relations:
- Liaise with the CCMA regarding referrals.
- Assist as an HR representative in labour-related matters when required.
Policies Procedures and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and improvement of HR procedures and processes.
- Act as custodian of all HR-related statutory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources (advantageous)
- 23 years experience in HR support or HR administration role

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of HR software systems.
