Job Summary
Hire Resolves Client is currently looking for an experienced General Manager (Opencast) to join their mining company based in will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to drive sustainable performance financial control risk management and organisational growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the overall business strategy aligning operations resources and departmental plans to achieve organisational objectives.
- Oversee operational performance ensuring safe efficient and cost-effective delivery of production and service targets.
- Drive governance risk management and regulatory compliance across all areas of responsibility.
- Manage financial performance including budgeting cost control capital allocation and long-term sustainability.
- Lead and develop senior management teams fostering a high-performance accountable and values-driven culture.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support business continuity and strategic growth.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- Opencast Blasting Certificate
- Professional Registration withMine Manager Affiliations
- 15 years experience within an opencast mining environment with 6 years experience in a Senior Management role
- Experience on MS Dynamics F&O Reporting tools (MS Power BI)
- Valid Drivers License
Benefits:
