JOB GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- To provide overall leadership supervision and coordination of the track and fieldprogram.
- To provide and atmosphere that promotes the development of skills necessary to allow student athletes to participate at a competitive level.
- To provide a track and field program that is an extension of the overall academic program at Tennessee Middle School.
- To provide a track and fieldprogram that emphasizes academics discipline high morals and team play.
- To provide a field and field program that builds a strong foundation that will prepare our student-athletes to become productive citizens.
- To provide a track and field program that promotes integrity and sportsmanship and teaches student-athletes to be aware that doing the right thing is more important than the outcome of a game.
- To provide a track and field program that promotes work ethic Viking Pride and a competitive nature.
PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS

- To be loyal to the head coach and the administration of Tennessee Middle School and Bristol Tennessee City Schools.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the head coach to evaluate and formulate an improvement plan for the overall track and field program.
- Provide supervision of student-athletes involved in Tennessee Middle School Track and Field.
- Assist the head coach with practices.
- Assist the head coach with coordinating all game day activities.
- Promote the track and fieldprogram in both the school and the community and serve as the spokesperson in the area of public relations for Tennessee Middle SchoolTrack and Field.
- Work cooperatively with school staff student-athletes and parents in promoting Tennessee Middle SchoolTrack and Field
- Work cooperatively with coaches of other sports to ensure the overall success of Tennessee Middle School Athletics.
- Perform all duties assigned by the head coach.
- Maintain and oversee the safety conditions of all dressing rooms facilities and equipment used by Tennessee Middle SchoolTrack and Field
- Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
- Enforce the code of conduct and expectations for the Tennessee Middle School Track and Field program.
- Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the athletic director.
- Ensure accident/injury reports are submitted to the athletic office in a prompt manner.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the off-season strength and conditioning program.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 25 lbs. Other physical demands that may be required are:

- Climbing
- Stooping and/or kneeling
- Reaching
- Talking
- Hearing
