Job Summary
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for engineering integration and delivery of Prime Air drone vehicle system components. This includes design and development of hardware systems as well as platform level systems integration. The ideal candidate is passionate about and experienced in working back from the customer to develop new breakthrough products. They are experienced in designing building integrating testing and certifying aerospace artifacts.
As a technical leader you will lead a team of top-notch mechanical electrical software and systems engineers to deliver high quality aerospace grade products. As a leader responsible for developing components for a highly integrated product you will have experience working within an integrated product development plan and leading a team of engineers to execute to it.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
- 7 years of new hardware products development experience
- 7 years of engineering team management experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience in engineering team management
- Experience in new hardware product development
- Experience in DFx (cost test manufacturing)
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Masters degree in Electrical Mechanical Power Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies
- Experience developing products for large volume production
- Experience managing teams of 8 engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
