The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible to manage and monitor sales teams to achieve medical sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans in collaboration with the Senior Manager MDD
- Support achievement of monthly quarterly and annual sales targets across surgical implants categories
- Monitor market trends competitor moves and pricing dynamics; prepare tactical insights and recommendations
- Maintain accurate CRM data sales forecasts margin projections and pipeline visibility
- Build and sustain relationships with surgeons OR staff lab personnel hospital administrators and procurement teams
- Provide in-theatre product support and technical guidance during surgical procedures
- Coordinate with marketing to arrange for clinical education sessions product demonstrations workshops and congress participation
- Capture customer feedback and lost-sale analyses to identify product gaps and inform improvements
- Partner with marketing medical affairs supply-chain and regulatory teams to align on customer requirements and fulfilment
Leadership Responsbilities:
- Build mentor & guide field sales representatives on sales best practices and clinical protocols to achieve sales objectives
- Conduct regular performance check-ins under the Senior Managers guidance and share actionable feedback
- Assist in planning and delivering product process and clinical training to ensure team readiness
- Champion a culture of accountability transparency and continuous improvement within the sales team
- Liaise with supply-chain and regulatory colleagues to ensure compliance and seamless order management
Functional skills and knowledge:
- Clinical expertise in surgical implants portfolio including in-theatre support and technical guidance
- Strong ability to develop and execute territory sales plans and maintain accurate CRM forecasts
- Strong market analysis capabilities: competitor intelligence pricing/margin optimization and customer segmentation
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical device regulations handling procedures shelf life and warranty requirements
- Experienced in managing customer issues and driving preventive actions to minimize repeat incidents
Soft skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication with clinical and commercial audiences
- Relationship-building and influencing skills across surgeons OR teams and internal stakeholders
- Analytical problem-solving and data-driven decision-making

Education:
- Degree or professional qualification in a Science or Medical-related discipline

- Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams to execute sales strategies
