This role is central to connecting activities across our India team ensuring strong regional sales execution and supporting local distributors - most notably IFFCO.
The Zonal Marketing & Agronomy Manager is an incountry regional role supporting multiple zones and requires the ability to work across diverse crops channels and agronomic environments. While the role will have a primary area of focus it also calls for adaptability to shift priorities based on evolving business needs.
Key accountabilities include:
- Define agree and ensure adherence to regional commercial marketing and agronomy standards and processes.
- Build and maintain strong crossfunctional relationships with global Sales Technical Product Development and Agronomy teams.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Marketing & Agronomy within the commercial team and the wider Anglo American Group.
- Ensure all relevant customer information (Grower Channel Influencer) is collected and consolidated to inform customer segmentation and targeting for POLY4 campaigns.
- Lead and coordinate largescale customer and Key Buying Factor (KBF) surveys including engagement with external agencies briefing results analysis and insight generation for product positioning brand equity measurement and valuebased pricing.
- Monitor and report competitor activities pricing structures market behaviour and commercial implications; recommend proactive or corrective actions for POLY4 campaigns.
- Develop the regional marketing plan in alignment with global marketing commercial and agronomy teams.
- Ensure effective integration between marketing sales and other support functions.
- Propose final product positioning and message maps by crop customer segment and subarea.
- Support the customer segmentation process to build actionable customer target groups aligned to crop strategies.
- Define and maintain relevant customer touchpoints.
- Integrate campaign plans to ensure full alignment on targets approach and execution.
- Support the regional head in defining measurable KPIs and yearend evaluations to inform planning for the next season.
- Contribute to a structured marketing and agronomy plan by channel and offtake partner (with a focus on India) ensuring clarity across the Crop Nutrients Commercial team.
- Ensure campaign plans are practical costconscious and aligned with priority market sales objectives.
- Develop implement and track POLY4 campaigns in assigned geographical areas.
- Translate customer offers (B2B channel influencer grower) into regionspecific delivery plans where relevant.
- Ensure campaign objectives KPIs value propositions and product positioning are clearly communicated to sales and marketing teams.
- Collaborate closely with Agronomists and Market Intelligence Analysts.
- Where relevant implement and coordinate demos CRM entries prelaunch activations harvest days and targeted customer or influencer events.
- Deliver campaigns in line with the approved marketing budget and regional plan.
- Liaise with external marketing agencies for content development and execution where required.
- Work with the Customer Data Specialist to maintain accurate CRM records for target customer groups and apply insights to support POLY4 campaigns.
- Ensure continuous alignment with HQ Marketing and support crossregional bestpractice sharing.
- Troubleshoot campaign execution issues and drive workflow improvements.
- Act as a trusted operational partner to the regional team and Global Marketing.
- Lead and coordinate B2B training initiatives ensuring content meets customer needs.
- Track customer needs assess capability and readiness to execute POLY4 campaigns and volumes and escalate corrective actions to the regional head as required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Agriculture (or a related field).
- Experience in agronomy marketing and sales operations business development campaign management or similar roles within the fertilizer specialty fertilizer or biologicals industry.
- Experience working with Indian fertilizer manufacturers specialty fertilizer companies or distribution partners.
- Ability to work with a minimum viable product (MVP) mindsetcomfortable starting with essentials and building capability over time.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret agronomic market and customer insights.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse crops channels and regional environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills able to translate technical and agronomic information into clear actionable insights.
- High levels of organisation accountability and adaptability in response to changing business needs.
