CEDA is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to support our Edmonton shop during an upcoming shutdown. This is a temporary 3-month position supporting a high-volume time-sensitive onboarding and payroll process across multiple sites.
This role is ideal for a confident outgoing individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with people. Strong organization communication and time management skills are essential as this position plays a key role in ensuring employees are mobilized efficiently and paid accurately.
Location: Edmonton AB (Shop-Based Support)
Duration: Approximately 3 Months
Schedule: MondayFriday 40 hours per week (overtime and weekend work as required)

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Submit union manpower requests and coordinate onboarding of new employees as required
- Coordinate employee mobilization and site activation for new hires across multiple sites
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
- Assist with all onboarding documentation and system requirements
- Review validate and submit service orders to payroll on a daily basis
- Review weekly payroll summaries to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide administrative dispatch and operational support as required
Role Specifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a similar administrative onboarding or payroll support role
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Experience working in an industrial or construction setting is an asset
- Proficiency with FieldFX and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience supporting large-scale projects including high-volume onboarding (150 employees) is an asset
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word is considered an asset
Required Skills & Attributes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and a high attention to detail
- Adaptable and effective when working with diverse teams and changing priorities
- Quick learner particularly with new systems and computer programs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Confident communicator able to interact professionally with internal teams coordinators planners and field personnel
