The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation maintenancecalibration and repair of analytical instrumentation (e.g. HPLC GC UVVis
FTIR LC-MS). This individual serves as the frontline technical contactfor customers ensuring optimal performance of systems and delivering
high-quality service in alignment with customer expectations and industry standards.
A Service Engineer for Equipment & Analytical Instruments he orshe will be the face of the companys technical service teamworking directly with customers to ensure their instrumentsoperate reliably and efficiently. Responsibilities will include systeminstallations troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issuesperforming preventative maintenance and providing basic usertraining. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical skillprofessionalism and a strong customer service mindset.
He or she will support a variety of industries includingpharmaceuticals food & beverage chemicals mining semicon and academic research. The ideal candidate combines a strongtechnical foundation in instrumentation with the ability tocommunicate effectively manage time independently and work infield-based or laboratory environments.
Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
Perform on-site installation and system qualification of analyticalinstruments.
Verify equipment performance through IQ/OQ protocols incompliance with customer or regulatory requirements.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Conduct regular preventive maintenance as per service schedules.
Diagnose and repair hardware software or performance-relatedissues.
Replace faulty components and update firmware/software asneeded.
Customer Support & Training
Provide technical support to end-users on basic troubleshootingand system care.
Deliver user training post-installation to ensure successfulhandover.
Escalate complex cases to application specialists or technicalsupport engineers as required.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate service logs installation reports and calibrationcertificates.
Adhere to company and industry compliance requirements ( ISO safety).
Manage inventory and parts usage during field service operations.
Internal Collaboration
Coordinate with technical support sales and product teams forseamless customer service.
Provide feedback on recurring issues or design flaws to engineeringor QA teams.
Assist in creating service SOPs and best practice documentation.
Education Requirements:
Minimum: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electronics EngineeringInstrumentation Biomedical Engineering Mechatronics or AppliedSciences.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Analytical Chemistry Biotechnology orPhysics especially for complex instruments like LC-MS or spectroscopy
platforms. Certifications in equipment calibration ISO standards or safetyprocedures are an asset.
Other Qualifications:
Solid understanding of electrical mechanical & analytical systems.
Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams service manuals andtechnical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated organized and capable of working independently incustomer-facing roles.
Proficiency in English; other languages are a plus depending on region.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel anywhere in Luzon
