Job Summary

Company Background:

We are representing a leading public-listed manufacturer and supplier of various steel products looking for an Group QA Manager to be based in Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the Quality Assurance (QA) function across multiple departments or business units within the organization
Ensuring companys products/ services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with regulatory requirements
Develop and implement QA strategies policies and procedures to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory standards
Lead a team of QA professionals across multiple division or business units providing guidance coaching and mentoring as needed
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure QA performance and effectiveness
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement specifically support technically on Product Certification audit & CIDB inspection
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D manufacturing supply chain and regulatory affairs to drive quality initiatives and resolve quality-related issues
Lead investigations into quality incidents deviations and customer complaints implementing irreversible corrective actions as necessary
Stay informed about industry trends regulatory requirements and best practices incorporate relevant changes into the Quality Management System
Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance preferably in steel and metal manufacturing background
Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
Strong understanding of quality management systems including ISO standards GMP and other relevant regulations
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving results
Able to speak and write English and Mandarin (due to business nature)
