Key Responsibilities:
The Innovation Project MEAL Coordinator is responsible for leading evidence generation monitoring accountability and learning for the innovation meal project(s).
The role ensures that innovative meal interventions are data-driven child-centred accountable to communities and generate credible evidence to inform program improvement scale-up and policy influence.
The position will play a critical role in linking AIM data citizen voice school-level evidence and innovation learning to decision-making advocacy and national-level engagement (including ENOUGH campaign and school meal policy influence).
Major Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Evaluation of Innovation Meal Projects (30%)
- Design and coordinate the MEAL framework for innovation meal interventions.
- Develop indicators tools and data collection plans aligned with AIMCVA database nutrition outcomes attendance and child well-being.
- Support teams to analyze and apply project results and local evidence in problem definition and solution design.
- Ensure innovation projects demonstrate clear outcome pathways linked to child results.
- Work closely with MEAL and technical teams to integrate monitoring learning and adaptive management
- Coordinate engagement with internal staff across programs operations advocacy and technical
- Support collaboration with external partners including Wayamba University technology partners NGOs
- Facilitate coaching and mentoring processes with innovation reviewers and technical experts.
- Develop and maintain innovation project tracking tools and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with WV policies safeguarding standards and financial procedures
- Support teams to assess scale potential sustainability pathways and system integration opportunities.
- Assist in identifying donor alignment and external funding opportunities
Required qualifications experience & competencies
- Bachelors degree in Development Studies Public Health Nutrition Education Social Sciences Innovation or a related field.
- Masters degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in project coordination programme implementation innovation or research-linked programming
- Strong understanding of innovation processes pilot implementation and adaptive management.
- Ability to interpret and use data and evidence to inform programming
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Working knowledge of Sinhala and/or Tamil is an asset.
