Job Summary
A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Salisbury is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its successful Performing Arts department as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to teach engaged pupils in a creative supportive environment where music plays an important role in school life.
Music is a popular subject within the school with strong participation in lessons ensembles and performances.
The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with performance composition and coursework
Leading or contributing to choirs ensembles and school productions
Encouraging creativity confidence and musical expression
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or a related subject
Experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge in performance theory and composition
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and progress
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
