Grain Elevator Operations Associate
Location: Robinson IL
Position Overview
The Grain Elevator Operations Associate plays an important role in the daily operation of the grain facility. The employee will be responsible for receiving grain loading outbound shipments assisting with storage and handling and supporting crop protection activities when needed. This is a hands-on role involving equipment operation maintenance and teamwork in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive grain from trucks and safely load grain into rail cars and storage systems
Monitor grain handling systems and adjust settings to reduce shrink and product loss
Assist with housekeeping and upkeep of the elevator buildings and grounds
Enter and clean grain bins when required
Perform basic service and preventative maintenance on equipment (oil lubrication cleaning minor repairs)
Follow company policies regarding safety environmental practices and training procedures
Work as part of the team and assist with other operational needs as they arise
What Were Looking For
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Previous grain elevator or agricultural operations experience is helpful but training is available
Basic mechanical skills or willingness to learn
Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL and DOT physical
Willingness to work seasonal overtime and occasional weekends
Physically capable of climbing ladders bending shoveling lifting up to 50 lbs. opening/closing valves and working in confined spaces
Comfortable operating forklifts loaders and other equipment (or willing to be trained)
