Job Description: Trilyon is seeking a highly skilled Application Systems Analyst / Programmer to support enterprise GIS operations and spatial data initiatives. The Application Systems Analyst / Programmer will be responsible for analyzing designing developing and maintaining complex geographic databases and automated GIS workflows.
The Application Systems Analyst / Programmer will evaluate application architecture determine data conversion algorithms and build programmatic solutions to support map and spatial data requests. This role requires strong expertise in Esri technologies Python automation spatial database management and enterprise GIS systems.
As an Application Systems Analyst / Programmer you will troubleshoot GIS integration issues coordinate with external contractors and ensure quality assurance across spatial datasets. The Application Systems Analyst / Programmer will also provide technical leadership maintain schedules and budgets and make strategic recommendations to management regarding GIS systems and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze design develop and maintain complex GIS databases and feature sets.
Create and maintain enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE) and ensure spatial data integrity.
Develop automation scripts using Python (ArcPy/API) and FME for ETL processes.
Determine application and data architecture for GIS systems.
Debug programming code and make detailed programming decisions.
Develop data conversion algorithms and automate data capture and maintenance processes.
Troubleshoot GIS data processing and system integration issues.
Coordinate efforts of contractors and suppliers to meet project goals.
Design and maintain programmatic solutions to fulfill internal and external map/data requests.
Review and validate mapping data provided by agencies or external partners for accuracy and consistency.
Modify and correct database values as needed.
Perform QA/QC on spatial datasets using both manual and automated methods.
Create and maintain project schedules and assist in draft budget preparation.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to management.
Required Skills & Experience: Bachelors degree in GIS Geography or related field.
5 8 years of experience in spatial analysis GIS systems and database management.
5 years of experience with ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Desktop Pro Enterprise Server Portal).
3 years of experience with ArcGIS Online and QGIS.
5 years of experience managing enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE) and working with SQL.
5 years of experience in Python scripting (ArcPy/API) for GIS automation.
3 years of experience using FME for ETL and data integration processes.
Strong experience determining GIS application architecture and data exchange structures.
Proven ability to evaluate program and automate GIS data capture and maintenance workflows.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Strong project leadership documentation and communication skills.
Work Schedule: Monday Thursday
10 hours per day
