System Analyst – Deltek Financial Systems

Job Summary
The System Analyst Deltek supports the administration configuration and ongoing improvement of the organizations Deltek Vantagepoint platform. This is a junior to mid-level individual contributor role for candidates early in their financial systems or ERP careers who are looking to develop expertise in project-based accounting systems within a professional services environment. Reporting directly to the Financial Systems Manager the role contributes to the stability and effectiveness of Deltek by supporting daily operations assisting with system enhancements and ensuring alignment with Finance Accounting and operational workflows. The position offers a clear growth path toward increased system ownership over time.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day administration and configuration of Deltek Vantagepoint.
Assist in maintaining workflows across project setup and lifecycle tracking accounting and financial processes billing and revenue workflows and reporting/data outputs.
Troubleshoot system issues and support root-cause analysis under guidance from senior team members.
Partner with Finance Accounting and IT to support business process execution.
Assist with system testing for upgrades patches and enhancements (including UAT support).
Document system processes configurations and standard operating procedures.
Support data quality validation and consistency across the platform.
Provide end-user support and training for Deltek-related processes.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system optimization efforts.
Support integrations and data flows between Deltek and other business systems.
Perform all duties as assigned by their manager.
Qualifications :
- 24 years of experience in ERP financial systems or business systems support.
Exposure to Deltek systems (Vantagepoint preferred) or similar ERP platforms.
Basic understanding of project-based accounting concepts (projects billing revenue).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to learn quickly and translate business needs into system-related solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in professional services consulting architecture engineering or construction (AEC) firms.
Familiarity with Deltek modules such as Projects Accounting Billing or Reporting.
Exposure to system integrations reporting tools or data analysis.
Experience with QuickBooks ADP Concur SAP SAGE or other financial applications.
Experience supporting Finance or Accounting teams in a systems capacity.
Working knowledge of SQL or reporting platforms (Power BI or similar).
Experience in IT AI or Software Development roles preferred.
Work Environment & Expectations
This role is fully on-site in Dallas TX.
This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Operates under the direction of the Financial Systems Manager with increasing independence over time.
Requires strong responsiveness attention to detail and accountability in supporting business-critical systems.
Positioned as a growth role with opportunity to develop into a senior-level system owner.
