Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support
Assist in the development and maintenance of scalable reliable and secure infrastructure solutions on the AWS cloud platform.
Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
Containerization and Orchestration
Learn and assist in containerization efforts using Docker and support Kubernetes orchestration processes.
Help with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform to automate resource provisioning.
CI/CD Pipeline Assistance
Assist in the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to facilitate the deployment of applications and services.
Collaborate with development teams to understand CI/CD processes and contribute to their integration in the software development lifecycle.
Automated Testing Support
Support the implementation of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration processes to ensure code quality.
Work with senior engineers to define testing requirements and assist in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
Monitoring and Logging
Help set up and configure monitoring and logging systems to track the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
Assist in utilizing tools to monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
Security Awareness
Learn about security best practices and assist in implementing security scanning and vulnerability assessment solutions within the CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with security measures.
Incident Support
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and application incidents to support stable operations.
Participate in root cause analysis discussions and help implement preventive measures under supervision.
Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field
2 years experience as a DevOps engineer
Good proficiency with the AWS cloud platform with focus on infrastructure as code using Hashicorp Terraform and version control via Git.
Optional knowledge in Backstage usage.
Good knowledge in automation with CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions.
Good knowledge in Kubernetes / Docker development and operations with focus on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service and AWS Elastic Container Service.
Good knowledge in security concept with focus on operations of Hashicorp Vault AWS Secrets Manager and using OpenID Connect using Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and authorization.
Basic knowledge in developing streaming data integration using technologies like Kafka and AWS Kinesis
Basic knowledge in orchestrating AWS cloud services using AWS Step Functions AWS Simple Queue Service and Apache Airflow
Basic experience cloud monitoring solutions like AWS CloudWatch Grafana Prometheus or OpenTelemetry
