Were seeking someone to join our team as an Director in the Legal and Compliance Division.
In the Legal & Compliance division we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firms management of legal regulatory and franchise risk.
This is a Director level position within the Oversight Monitoring and Testing team.

What youll do in the role:
As a Director in the GFCs strategy group you will be driving initiatives within our newly formed Forensic Analysis and Surveillance Tuning (FAST) team and assist in advancing the GFS program while looking for opportunities to improve both effectiveness and efficiencies across the program globally. Building strong and innovative controls to address emerging risks with focus on horizon scanning.
Partnering with various stakeholders in the firm to accomplish GFC strategic initiatives. As a member of the FAST team you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Morgan Stanleys financial crime risk mitigation strategy.
This high-impact role requires a deep understanding of financial crime compliance advanced data analytics and expertise in one or more of the following domains: Transaction Monitoring Customer Screening (e.g. Sanction PEP negative media etc.) and Customer Risk Rating.
What youll bring to the role:
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Engineering Data Analytics Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience preferably in financial crime compliance risk management or a related field within a global financial institution.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful financial crime strategies.
Strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) sanctions compliance and other relevant financial crime regulations.
Experience with leading monitoring screening systems customer risk scoring and case management tools (e.g. Actimize SAS Oracle Compliance Link Bridger RDC etc.).
Demonstrated expertise in data analytics including tuning and optimization and leveraging third-party data sources.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
Innovative mindset challenging the status quo and a willingness to explore new technologies and processes to drive improvements in financial crime risk management.
Strong ability to convene stakeholders to continuously execute GFCs forward strategy.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently while collaborating and coordinating as part of a global program.
Professional certifications such as CAMS CFE or equivalent is preferred.
