Summary
Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator I is an individual contributor that delivers and sets up inventory at customers designated sites. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise products materials parts supplies and equipment. Checks goods distribution against purchase orders or invoices and is responsible for transporting company cargo to customers. Conducts inventory tasks in accordance with local VMI processes. Follows proper guidelines for use of all equipment ensuring it is clean and safe and reports concerns to the management team.

Additional Details:
Materials handling for vending machines and POU areas (5 vending machines 8 POU areas)
Use hand cart to transport materials
Large facility; requires significant walking
Receive shipments and ensure accuracy
Customer service focus
Computer skills required (email Excel for reporting)
Materials moved from Vallen onsite warehouse to vending/POU areas
Steel toe shoes required
No loose/dangly jewelry or drawstrings; long hair must be tied back
Dress code: jeans/khakis and t-shirt/polo (no shorts/sweatpants)
May lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities Essential Job Duties:
Ensure accuracy of shipments to the customer
Assist with VMI customer space/placement and stock product in designated areas
Follow customer orders from Vallens warehouse/DC to delivery and setup
Take customer spot buy orders when needed and relay to CSR or AR
Recommend changes to customer inventory levels based on usage
Ensure barcode labels are up to date and legible; advise management when new labels are needed
Scan barcodes at customer site to generate customer orders
Maintain awareness of min/max reorder points/quantity and report observations to management
Assist in annual inventory (cycle) counts on consigned products
Present information and respond to questions from clients customers and managers
5S all VMI Point of Use areas

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse inventory counting or delivery experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
Willingness to learn and perform semi-routine assignments
Self-starter with willingness to work under supervision
Ability to understand and carry out written oral or diagram instructions
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks correctly and on time
Proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers co-workers and management
Willing to gain knowledge of company products
Ability to represent Vallen professionally projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service
