Overview

CAES by Honeywell is recruiting a Business Development professional to shape develop and secure new business within the missile and unmanned system domains. This is a remote work from home full-time position with a minimum 25% travel expectation primarily focused on the east coast region of United States. This professional will maintain the highest standards of business and technical acumen performance excellence and integrity and actively engage to help define the overall short-term and long-term functional and strategic growth goals.

The ideal candidate possesses strong operational experience in the deployment utilization and assessment of weapon and unmanned tactical platforms. The candidate understands the technical and operational gaps of current systems and can help shape new product opportunities organically grow existing CAES by Honeywell product lines and focus market pursuits for maximum business growth. The candidate must have strong connections with the user community have a latent capacity to grow and enhance rapport with customer stakeholders and possess demonstrated experience with operational kill-chains. Specific experience with Special Operations that include SIGINT COMINT EW and combat operational targeting that is paired with drones and munitions is preferred. Additional preference is given to candidates that have demonstrated experience with uncrewed and/or autonomous unmanned systems in any warfighting domain and that can help develop and market penetration strategies in those realms. The candidate must have experience with restricted operational platforms cybersecurity requirements networks and facilities operations to support business growth in the restricted realm.

This professional is expected to be an important growth agent for CAES by Honeywell. The successful candidate will understand the customers requirements Prime or USG and be capable of shaping those into high growth division solutions.

Specific responsibilities include the identification of new business opportunities market research development of capture strategies and leading the preparation of proposals to customers. Accountable for orders generation forecasts development and execution of capture strategy for assigned market area. Ability to establish and build relationships obtain insights from customer contacts and understand customer requirements. Target pursuits where existing company solutions add value and new pursuits where IR&D and overarching CAES by Honeywell design capabilities can be applied. Partner with Engineering to ensure that technology roadmaps are in line with emerging customer needs requirements and investments. Coordinate activities to obtain market area intelligence and competitive data for targeted pursuits. Champion customers innovation and investment that will drive new business.

Qualifications

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 15 years experience in leading multi-discipline engineering and/or operational teams within the DOD IC or Industry communities
  • Experience with relevant market/customer acumen and strong product and technology expertise
  • Experience with operating in restricted environments and understanding how to grow business within them. Experience with restricted networks and understanding how to conduct bottom-up restricted business development
  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability to lead progressive changes with strong change agent mentoring and personnel development skills
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers on complex program challenges
  • Operational experience with weapon unmanned systems and technical kill chains
  • Strong connections with operational user community ability to excavate gaps shape innovation and define compelling product mappings to opportunities
  • Strong international experience in working with other governments foreign militaries and the FMS process; have latent capacity to support FMS growth
  • Active DoD/Top Secret clearance with ability to acquire SCI clearance

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. person which is defined as a U.S. citizen a U.S. permanent resident or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering Computer Science or Business degree
  • Experience leading development of microwave products for radar EW SIGINT and COMINT applications
  • Experience in managing people and working with technical engineers
  • Experience working in and driving results for a matrix organization
  • Experience with Air Operations Centers and deployment of unmanned/uncrewed and weapon systems

What We Offer

Pay Range:

The annual base salary range for this position is $173000 - $216000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location job function of the position education and experience of the successful candidate.
