Overview
Planned Systems International LLC (PSI)is seeking a skilled Program Analyst to support our Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) customer. The environment is dynamic and the client needs are often evolving. Flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. Position is On-site in Washington DC
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Conducting research analyzing data identifying trends and preparing reports
- Determining program requirements and making recommendations.
- Analyzing programs policies procedures and systems and making recommendations to optimize these.
- Drafting new or revised policies and procedures.
- Assisting program managers with the development of budgets and schedules as well as tracking metrics.
- Identifying and resolving issues and problems.
- Planning analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of operations and programs.
- Preparing and presenting reports and recommendations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education). 5 years related experience required
- Must have knowledge in how to plan analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs.
- Must be able to use source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and business processes.
- Must be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations.
- Must be able to effectively manipulate data to present program status and make recommendations on improving business processes.
- Experience in creating new methods of gathering and analyzing source data to evaluate program effectiveness and analyze business processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier II Moderate Risk Background Investigation.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Associate Degree (AA/AS) or 2 years of school in a business discipline is required. (4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).
