Duration: 7 Weeks
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Schedule
Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Wednesday & Friday: 6:30 AM 3:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support both front-office and back-office operations in a clinical setting. This role includes direct patient care administrative coordination and clinical support. Success in this position requires strong teamwork attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and room patients; verify demographic and medical information
Measure and document vital signs and patient histories
Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccinations and injections per established protocols
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Answer phones and assist with patient communication
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Support patient education and outreach initiatives
Provide additional administrative and clinical support as needed
Requirements
Minimum 12 years of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
Experience using EMR systems
Strong communication and computer skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
