- Other religious leaders
Community representatives
People who bring a broad independent community perspective and have no affiliation with Monash University.
What to expect
- 12 months initial appointment with potential for renewal
- Induction and ongoing training opportunities
- Eight meetings per year plus the follow up reviews
What you bring
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills
- The ability to read and large documents within set timeframes
- A commitment to fairness confidentiality and community service
Your responsibilities
- Become familiar with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research
- Review research proposals to ensure they meet ethical standards
- Attend at least 75% of committee meetings
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
