Job Summary

Quality Control Technician


Location:Swindon UK

Position summary;Monday Friday 37.5 per week

As part of the Quality Control (QC) team you will perform testing to ensure that all company materials meet the required specifications and comply with cGMP standards. Your work will directly support audit readiness and uphold the high-quality expectations of our customers and regulatory bodies.

The Role:

  • Carry out testing and documentation of materials and products in line with approved procedures methods and cGMP (GLP) requirements
  • Perform core QC tasks including:
    • Testing of incoming packaging materials
    • Inspection of finished products
    • Sampling of incoming materials
    • Preparation of reagents
    • Basic laboratory testing (e.g. physical tests FTIR label checks)
    • Preparing logbooks labelling materials/products archiving managing retain samples and maintaining glassware
  • Report any deviations or anomalies to a Scientist 1 (or above) for investigation
  • Review or check the work of others when appropriately trained
  • Ensure all required training is completed documented and kept up to date
  • Support internal and external audit preparation related to QC activities
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with colleagues and customers
  • Understand how the QC team integrates with wider business functions
  • Maintain the quality of your own work and contribute to the upkeep of quality systems
  • Work in compliance with EH&S requirements raising SOS reports and demonstrating positive safety behaviours
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by line management
