Job Summary

EtaxisseekinganexperiencedTaxSpecialist to play a critical role in reviewing complex individual tax returns delivering technical tax training and supporting and supervising our seasonal complex team.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who brings strong tax knowledge sound judgement and a calm collaborative leadership style.
AbouttheRole
Inthisroleyouwill:
- Conduct primary reviews of complex individual tax returns and secondary reviews where registered as a Tax Agent
- Ensure accuracy compliance and supporting documentation in line with ATO and TPB requirements
- Actasatechnicalescalationpointforcomplextaxmattersraisedbyaccountants
- DevelopanddelivertrainingontechnicaltaxtopicsATOupdatesandlegislativechanges
- CoachmentorandsupportTeamLeadAccountantsidentifyingdevelopmentandtraininggaps
- Help with supervising and supporting the seasonal complex tax team ensuring quality consistency and service standards
- Maintainhigh-qualityclientcommunicationandcontributetoexcellentcustomeroutcomes

- BachelorofAccounting(orsimilar)
- 5yearsexperiencelodgingandreviewingindividualtaxreturns
- RegisteredTaxAgent(orworkingtowardsregistration)
- Strongexpertiseincomplexindividualtaxmattersincluding:
- Sole traders (>$75k turnover)
- Property sales and multiple rental properties
- Share trading and high-volume disposals
- Ride-sharing income and CFDs
- Provenabilitytoexplaincomplextaxconceptsclearlyandconfidently
- Experiencedeliveringorcontributingtotechnicaltrainingandmentoring
- HighattentiontodetailstrongjudgementandtheabilitytomeetstrictKPIs
