In this PCU role responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment with telemetry oversight timely interpretation of vital signs and escalation of changes in condition through the appropriate channels. Youll administer medications and infusions per protocol manage IV therapy and wound care support transitional care planning and participate in interdisciplinary rounds to align goals with patient and family preferences. Youll contribute to patient education discharge planning and safe handoffs ensuring continuity of care as patients move between units. The position supports your professional growth within the PCU specialtyopportunities for skill enhancement leadership experiences such as charge nurse rotation and potential preceptorship for new nurses.
