Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist (Contract)
Location: Palm Coast FL 32164
Duration: 9 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support both front- and back-office clinical operations in an outpatient setting. This role involves direct patient interaction clinical support and administrative responsibilities requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Greet room and prepare patients for visits
Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls
Obtain and document vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and blood draws
Administer vaccines per protocol and scope of practice
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Provide additional clinical and administrative support as needed
Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support patient care
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy / venipuncture experience required
Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
Strong computer skills
Interest in working in a health education and outreachfocused environment
