SUMMARY: The job of Data Control Coordinator is done for the purpose(s) of meeting the technology needs of the District documenting information; and resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Job-related experience
- Targeted job-related education that meets organizations prerequisite requirements
- Social Security Card/Valid picture ID
- Proof of immunity to Measles and German Measles (MMR)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes data for the purpose of maintaining accurate and correct data with system availability and high efficiency
- Assesses system security and/or malfunctions of software applications for the purpose of determining appropriate actions and /or operations
- Attends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
- Coordinates with other staff for the purpose of training implementing updates and/or completing projects/work orders efficiently
- Inspects computer and network equipment requiring specialized computer repair and troubleshooting skills for the purpose of identifying and verifying repair needs
- Installs computer and network equipment requiring specialized computer and network skills for the purpose of maintaining safe and effective computer labs and networks
- Plans installation of computers and network equipment for the purpose of meeting the technology needs of the District
- Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information
- Procures equipment supplies and materials for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently
- Repairs software for the purpose of making sure data entry is completed in a safe and secure system and is in functional operating condition
- Requests quotations for the purpose of providing cost information purchasing and securing items as they relate to the software and District systems
- Transports various items (e.g. equipment supplies etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at school sites
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting the completion of work activities
- Perform such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent/Designee
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Skills are required to perform multiple technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in profession.
Knowledge is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information compose a variety of documents and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: knowledge of MS Office Suite required knowledge of SIRS Database systems Access Database systems knowledge of State and Federal reporting in Education preferred pertinent codes policies regulations and/or laws.
Ability is required to schedule activities; routinely gather collate and/or classify data; and consider a wide variety of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing a variety of complex processes; and utilize equipment under a variety of conditions for multiple purposes. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize a wide variety of types of job-related working with others independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: working under constraints; meeting deadlines and schedules; maintaining detailed records; being attentive to detail; adhering to safety practices; and communicating with diverse groups.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a small unit; and monitoring budget expenditures. Utilization of significant resources from other work units is routinely required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to significantly impact the Organizations services.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; frequent stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and some fine-finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 75% sitting 5% walking and 20% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
