Controller Central Operations

In this key leadership role youll oversee the accounting and financial operations of Central Operations ensuring accurate reporting strong controls and sound financial decision-making. Through effective financial stewardship and collaboration youll help maintain the integrity of financial results and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Here are some of the other ways youll help us stand out:

• Lead and oversee accounting operations for Central Facilities including transaction processing control systems and the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective internal controls over accounting transactions to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risk.
• Prepare and deliver weekly financial recaps for warehouse production operations measuring performance against budget and established standards.
• Develop and recommend benchmarks to evaluate the performance of Central Operations.
• Calculate analyze and report key financial and operating metrics to support informed decision-making.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts for Central Operations ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Analyze variances against budget forecast and prior-year results clearly communicating significant findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and identify opportunities to drive value and operational efficiency.
• Oversee and support the daily deliverables of the warehouse Accounting team including transactions inventory and expense reporting.
• Contribute to overall operational success by taking on additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications :

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or a related field plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA or CMA designation is considered an asset.
• Strong computer proficiency including working knowledge of AccPac and advanced Excel skills particularly in creating and analyzing pivot tables.
• Clear and professional communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A proactive solutions-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• The ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team leader
• Thrive in a fast-paced setting that that involves extended periods of sitting repetitive movement or tasks frequent computer use that may cause eye strain and working amid open-office noise and interruptions.  
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
• Ability to travel as required with reliable transportation.
