WHATS THE JOB
The Engineering Technologist Coop Student position is a fourmonth term running from May to August . This role is based in our Calgary office and may occasionally require site visits.

- Support site layout and setup by assisting engineers and project managers with planning surveying and coordinating camp infrastructure (e.g. modular units utilities access routes).
- Assist with technical drawings and documentation including updating site plans installation schematics and as-built records for modular camp components.
- Participate in on-site inspections as needed to verify installation quality ensure alignment with specifications and identify issues requiring correction.
- Coordinate with contractors and field teams to support logistics sequencing and safe execution of installation activities.
- Monitor equipment and materials helping track deliveries inventories and usage to maintain efficient installation workflows.
- Support HSEQ compliance activities such as documenting safety observations ensuring contractor orientation records are complete and assisting in hazard assessments.
- Contribute to commissioning and testing helping verify power water wastewater and other camp systems before handover.
- Prepare progress reports summarizing daily activities installation status risks and upcoming tasks.
Qualifications :
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Engineering Technology Civil Engineering Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology Project Management or related postsecondary diploma program.
- Strong interest in construction modular infrastructure or field engineering environments.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings site plans and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook Project); familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset
- Ability to interpret technical information and support with layout adjustments inspections and documentation updates.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks track materials/equipment and maintain accurate records within a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working both in an office setting and performing occasional field visits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with engineers contractors and field staff.
- Awareness of safety practices and a willingness to support HSEQ processes including documentation and observations.
- Ability to work independently show initiative and problemsolve in a dynamic project environment.
