Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is currently looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in ensuring our property remains well-presented safe and welcoming for both guests and staff.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a safe well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike. As part of our team youll be the go-to person for repairs and maintenance working across guest rooms public areas and behind the scenes to make sure everything operates at its best. Every day will bring variety; from preventative checks and scheduled maintenance to tackling unexpected issues quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Undertake general property repairs and maintenance as required.
- Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms public areas and back-of-house areas.
- Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required.
- Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects.
Shift Details (subject to change)
- Shifts scheduled Wednesday to Sunday
- Hours: 9:00am 5:30pm
- Start date: April
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous hands-on experience in building or property maintenance (12 months preferred not essential)
- Previous painting experience will be preferred.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Sound organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
