About the Position

The Director Office of the CEO is a senior leadership role that enables the Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation with confidence clarity and sustainability.

This position provides strategic leadership across organisational strategy government advocacy and policy and executive office coordination. Working in close partnership with the CEO you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Arts Centre Melbournes future direction by helping develop a clear compelling and achievable long-term vision informed by contemporary practice sector intelligence and external trends.

This role requires sound judgement discretion and professional credibility as well as the ability to operate autonomously in complex dynamic and politically sensitive environments.

Full time ongoing position. Band 6.0.01 $158840.00 p.a. plus superannuation.

Your Skills and Experience

Extensive experience in government relations public policy advocacy or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience providing senior strategic advice to executives or boards in complex environments.
Proven track record in building and maintaining high-level relationships with government and senior stakeholders.
Strong experience in policy analysis political strategy and advocacy planning.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to persuade at the most senior levels.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and rapidly changing environments.
