Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our professional and energetic kitchen team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic hotel food and beverage operation including breakfast lunch and dinner services while helping to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and present menu items with creativity and consistency while adhering to cost controls
  • Maintain strict stock rotation procedures and minimise waste
  • Ensure all kitchen and work areas are kept clean organised and hygienic
  • Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as required
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained cleaned and serviced reporting any issues to the Head Chef

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant trade qualification and experience in a similar role ideally within a hotel or restaurant environment (dinner service experience essential)
  • Strong technical cooking skills across a range of styles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to maintaining high and consistent standards
  • A sound understanding of food safety practices and HACCP principles
  • Valid Australian working rights
  • The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including early mornings evenings weekend & public holidays
