Be the expert who brings data modelling and insight together to tell the story of our credit risk and help shape decisions across the organisation.

Whats the role

This Group focused role leads the endtoend credit stress testing process where youll coordinate and run stress testing cycles review and interpret complex data and produce clear insights that help our lines of business understand how our credit portfolios perform under different scenarios.

Based in either Sydney or Melbourne youll work with the Executive Manager and teams across credit risk modelling treasury and finance to deliver highquality results on time (in office 2 days a week). While this role doesnt have direct reports youll guide analysts share SME knowledge and drive improvements in how we analyse calculate and report stress testing outcomes.

Youll also conduct portfolio deep dives help enhance analytical tools and play a key role in strengthening how stress testing supports decisionmaking across the organisation.

What do I need

To be successful youll bring proven credit risk analysis and insights expertise coupled with strong stakeholder experience. Additionally youll have:

  • Knowledge of credit modelling IFRS9 provisioning and credit stress testing data and processes expertise.
  • Experience in financial services banking or consulting and working knowledge of financial markets and reporting environments.
  • Strong numeracy and ability to work with complex spreadsheets and datasets.
  • Ability to identify risks early and manage them proactively.
  • Clear communication skills including explaining technical outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coding ability in SAS with a basic understanding of SQL/R/Python.
  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance tools processes and analysis.
