Job Summary:
- The Software Engineer II is responsible for the design development and maintenance of software systems. The role requires an understanding of programming languages software development frameworks and database management. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of software developers product managers and quality assurance specialists to develop high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify software requirements and design software solutions
- Write clean efficient and well-documented code
- Test and debug software applications
- Troubleshoot software issues and provide timely resolutions
- Maintain and update existing software systems
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Provide technical support to end-users when required
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in software development
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Kotlin (or similar) and JavaScript
- Experience with software development frameworks such as Spring.
- Knowledge of database management systems such as ScyllaDB
- Experience with distributed messaging and caching tools like Redis Kafka or RabbitMQ (Preferred)
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies such as unit testing integration testing and end-to-end testing
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-environment work extended periods of sitting or standing computer-based work. Limited lifting and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards mouse etc.)
