About the Job

Our esteemed Australian client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to support their finance this role you will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices maintaining vendor relationships and supporting the finance team with reconciliations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing & Verification: Receive review and process supplier invoices in a timely manner. Ensure invoices are accurately coded approved and matched against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Vendor Management & Payments: Maintain accurate vendor records respond to supplier inquiries and ensure payments are processed on time in accordance with agreed terms.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate accounts payable balances.
• Reporting & Documentation: Assist in preparing accounts payable reports maintain organized financial records and support month-end closing activities.
• Internal Collaboration & Administration: Work closely with procurement operations and finance teams to resolve invoice or payment issues. Participate in finance meetings and support process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience: A minimum of 23 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role is required preferably supporting Australian clients or businesses.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems strong Excel skills and the ability to process high-volume invoices accurately.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be proactive dependable and capable of working independently. Language: Must have a strong command of written and spoken English.
