Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer Municipal Infrastructure

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our rapidly growing municipal engineering practice. This role leads the planning design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including sewershed studies sewer rehabilitation water distribution systems treatment facilities and pump stations. The ideal candidate can manage multiple projects coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality designs with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design for municipal water and wastewater projects
- Perform hydraulic analysis system assessments and design computations
- Prepare engineering reports plans specifications and cost estimates
- Manage project schedules and coordinate internal design teams
- Review survey data GIS drawings and construction documents
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and provide technical oversight to junior engineers
- Attend client meetings and support project coordination
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- 510 years of water/wastewater engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Environmental Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit ArcGIS MS Project and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Former company employees from the past 5 years are not eligible
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience working with county and state municipal clients
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional field work
- Some outdoor exposure and limited lifting (up to 25 lbs)
