Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and precision-focused Press Brake Operator to join our 1st shift team in Providence County this role you will be responsible for the daily setup and operation of CNC-controlled press brakes within our fast-paced just-in-time fabrication facility. You will handle complex forming operations and collaborate closely with the production manager to ensure high-priority jobs move seamlessly through the shop floor while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Setup & Operation: Prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations including custom punch/die modifications.
  • Advanced Programming: Utilize all features of the press brake for intricate tasks such as step bends angle bending and back gauge transfers.
  • Quality Control: Maintain specifications by detecting malfunctions inspecting parts with precision tools and adjusting controls as needed.
  • Workflow Collaboration: Work with the Manufacturing Manager to prioritize jobs and assist other operators on high-priority fabrication tasks.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Comply with all company policies and federal regulations to maintain a safe clean and efficient workspace.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with management to identify areas for waste reduction and cost-saving measures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional press brake operating experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Proficiency: Must be expert at reading tape measures micrometers calipers and protractors with a sharp eye for tolerances.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with modern manufacturing techniques and various metal materials.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently meet high-pressure deadlines and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with the team.

Compensation

Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties and certifications with an expected hourly wage of $28 - $33/hr.
