Interim Operations Manager

LOCATION

Our client is looking to employ as Interim Operations Manager (12 Month Contract)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership

Lead all Operations functions including:
Inbound Stores (Raw Materials & Packaging)
Manufacturing / Blending
Filling & Packing
Maintenance / Engineering
Oversee smooth daily production flow meeting efficiency targets and SOP compliance.
Maintain operational KPIs such as production targets efficiencies and stock accuracy.
Drive preventive maintenance programs.
Identify bottlenecks and lead cross-team problemsolving initiatives.

Compliance & Collaboration

Work alongside Technical / Quality teams to ensure full GMP / ISO22716 compliance.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Finished Goods teams to support production scheduling and handover.
Ensure adherence to safety hygiene and factory cleanliness standards.

Team Management

Lead and develop Team Leaders across all operational areas.
Optimise labour allocation (including temp staff) to meet production plans.
Foster morale and ensure effective communication across shifts.

Reporting

Provide regular KPI reports to the MD.
Escalate strategic crossfunctional or regulatory matters when necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Available to start immediately
Grade 12 / Matric
7 - 10 years Proven operational leadership in FMCG / personal care / cosmetics manufacturing experience
Deep understanding of endtoend factory operations:
Bulk manufacturing / blending
Flexible filling & packing
Maintenance and asset reliability
Strong knowledge of GMP / ISO22716 standards.
Successful track record managing Team Leaders and operational teams.
Strong decisionmaking prioritisation and problemsolving abilities.
Strong communicator with excellent crossfunctional relationship skills
Exposure to privatelabel or contract manufacturing environments (Preferable)
