Job Description:
The Patient Care Coordinator at United Healthcare plays a crucial role in ensuring that our members receive the highest level of care and support throughout their healthcare journey. The position involves coordinating and managing patient care activities collaborating with healthcare providers and advocating for the well-being of our members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of healthcare services
- Communicate with healthcare providers insurance companies and other stakeholders to coordinate care plans
- Advocate for patient needs and promote patient-centered care
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments obtaining prescriptions and accessing resources
- Promote health education and disease prevention initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare systems
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
