We are seeking a driven experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead motivate and develop a high-performing sales team at Walker Automotive. The ideal candidate is results-oriented digitally savvy and hands-on with modern automotive retail tools. This role requires strong leadership a customer-first mindset and the ability to actively manage CRM systems and digital leads while driving profitability and volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coach and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales gross and CSI goals
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations including desk deals appraisals and deal structure
- Actively manage CRM workflows internet leads and digital retail processes to ensure fast response times and high conversion rates
- Monitor and improve lead handling follow-up processes and appointment show rates
- Work closely with marketing BDC and finance teams to maximize opportunities
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies manufacturer standards and legal requirements
- Analyze sales performance forecasts and KPIs; adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain a strong showroom presence and lead by example with customers and staff
- Foster a positive accountable and high-energy sales culture
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of automotive management experience(Sales Manager Desk Manager or similar role required)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and gross objectives
- Digital retail savvywith a strong understanding of online car buying tools
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems and lead management(internet phone and showroom leads)
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced performance-driven environment
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OEM programs and reporting
- Strong closing and negotiation abilities
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to coach based on performance metrics
