We are seeking a
faith-driven experienced coachwho embodies the Jesuit values of
Cura Personalis (care for the whole person) Magis (striving for excellence) and service rooted in love and justice. The ideal coach is a strong leader and communicator has a proven record in team and individual development and creates an environment where athletes thrive both on and off the field.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Regis Jesuit Field Hockey program in alignment with the schools Jesuit mission and values.
- Develop and implement apositive inclusive and competitive program culturethat emphasizes character accountability and personal growth.
- Plan organize and conduct effective practices focused on skill development tactical understanding and team cohesion.
- Manage game preparation strategy and in-game coaching for varsity competition.
- Recruit develop and support assistant coaches; foster collaboration across all levels of the program.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with student-athletes families assistant coaches and the Athletic Department.
- Support student-athletes in balancing academic athletic and personal commitments.
- Uphold and enforce school league and CHSAA policies and expectations.
- Assist with scheduling budgeting equipment management and program logistics.
- Actively contribute to a strong respectful partnership with the Athletic Department and fellow coaches.
- Engage in offseason planning and development to ensure long-term program sustainability and success.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous head or assistant coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (field hockey preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a mission-driven student-centered athletic program.
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to the holisticdevelopment of student-athletes athletically academically and personally.
- Experience mentoring assistant coaches andcollaborating within a coaching staff.
- Knowledge of CHSAA rules regulations and competitivelandscape.
- Ability to connect with and support a wide range of student-athletes with varying experience levels.
- Passion for coaching as a vocationnot just a role someone who sees athletics as a powerful tool for formation.
- Willingness to engage with parents alumni and the broader school communityin a professional and positive manner.
