Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support an ambulatory care / outpatient clinic setting in Syracuse NY. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities and requires close collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients escort them to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations
Obtain and document vital signs and patient progress
Assist providers during exams and procedures including injections and PAPs
Set up procedure trays and maintain clean well-stocked exam rooms and clinical areas
Administer injections and medications within LPN scope of practice
Support general office duties including scheduling filing and chart preparation
Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain authorizations (PT MRIs CT scans surgeries etc.)
Obtain referrals from primary care providers for new and established patients
Document patient care and interactions using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Implement nursing care under RN direction and monitor/report patient responses
Participate in daily unit operations and workflow coordination
