Are you a creative and technically skilled Product Design specialist available to start a new role immediately
We are working with a high-achieving secondary school in Richmond that requires a passionate D&T Teacher to lead their Product Design classes across KS3 KS4 and KS5. The department is exceptionally well-resourced featuring modern workshops and a dedicated CAD/CAM suite.
This is an immediate vacancy requiring a teacher who can hit the ground running and maintain the momentum of exam-year groups.
Practical Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons in timbers polymers and metals ensuring all students follow strict Health & Safety protocols.
Technical Expertise: Utilize CAD/CAM software (such as 2D Design SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360) and oversee the use of 3D printers and laser cutters.
NEA Support: Provide expert guidance for Year 11 and Year 13 students as they finalize their Non-Exam Assessment (NEA) portfolios and practical prototypes.
Curriculum Delivery: Engage KS3 students with innovative design-and-make projects that foster a love for engineering and aesthetics.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A degree in Design & Technology Product Design or a related Engineering field.
Workshop Savvy: Up-to-date Health & Safety accreditation (DATA) is highly desirable.
Versatility: The ability to work with a range of materials and tools from traditional hand tools to modern manufacturing technology.
