Year 1 Teacher – Greenford

We are seeking an enthusiastic caring and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenford starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and supporting children as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning.

As a Year 1 Teacher you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum ensuring pupils develop strong foundations in literacy numeracy and personal development. You will also play a key role in supporting childrens emotional wellbeing confidence and independence during this important stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum

• Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to KS1

• Assess monitor and track pupil progress effectively

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEN and EAL

• Promote positive behaviour routines and independence

• Create a nurturing structured and stimulating classroom environment

• Work closely with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

• Contribute to planning meetings staff meetings and school initiatives

• Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Have recent experience teaching in KS1 ideally Year 1

• Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum

• Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic

• Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
