Exams Administration Department:
The Exams Department is responsible for managing all aspects of the schools internal and external assessments including GCSE A Level vocational qualifications and mock examinations. The department ensures that all exams are delivered in accordance with JCQ regulations and the requirements of individual awarding bodies.
The team works closely with senior leaders Heads of Department teachers invigilators and administrators to deliver high-quality exam services. The environment demands precision confidentiality and strong organisational skills. Exam seasons are fast-paced and require excellent time-management calmness under pressure and a proactive mindset.
Your responsibilities as Exams Officer will include:
Organising and managing all internal assessments and external exams.
Registering candidates with exam boards and managing entry lists.
Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and school policies.
Coordinating invigilators including recruitment scheduling and training.
Maintaining and monitoring secure storage of exam papers and confidential materials.
Managing access arrangements in partnership with the SEN team.
Preparing exam rooms timetables seating plans and communication materials.
Supervising exams administration including attendance records incident logs and special considerations.
Managing results days distributing grades processing post-results services and supporting students and parents.
Producing data reports for senior leaders governors and subject departments.

Requirements:
Strong administrative background ideally with exams experience in a school or FE setting.
Excellent organisational numeracy and analytical skills.
Knowledge of JCQ regulations (or willingness to train).

Ability to work under pressure especially during exam seasons.
Confident IT skills including experience with MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom).
Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
