Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Part-time Term-time only (working for39weeks per year plus6.05weeks annual leave which will increase after 5 years continuous service)
As the position is part-time/term-time only the above salary will be pro rata.
Fixed term for: 1.5 months

Southover CE Primary School is a happy vibrant school in the heart of Lewes. We are proud of our lovely children dedicated staff and inclusive ethos.

We are proud to have an outside learner swimming pool for our children which will be open from 3rd June until 19th July 2026 9.00am - 3.15pm (approx.) We would be willing to have this as a job share where hours can fit in. Please state that in any application.

To give the children the best learning opportunities we are looking for a qualified Lifeguard to monitor our children aged 4-11 in their lessons.

Interviews are scheduled for Friday 24th April.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
