Job Summary

Position: BI Developer
Location: Oshawa ON (hybrid 2 days remote)
Structure: Contract 24 months to start
Pay:$70.00 - $90.00 p/h inc. HST

We have a great new opportunity to support one of our Energy Sector clients in a contract capacity!

Deliverables

Design and develop scalable business intelligence solutions including end-to-end Power BI semantic models dashboards and paginated reports.
Build and optimize data models and reporting solutions that integrate with SQL-based data sources and enterprise data platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements translate needs into analytical solutions and deliver clear actionable insights.
Maintain documentation governance standards deployment pipelines and support integration with broader Power Platform solutions.

Experience Required

5 years of experience in business intelligence or analytics development with strong expertise in tools from Microsoft such as Power BI and the Power Platform.
Advanced experience building Power BI semantic models using DAX Power Query star schema modeling row-level security and performance optimization techniques.
Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases including writing complex queries and optimizing data interactions.
Experience deploying and managing reporting solutions using Power BI Service workspaces governance practices and deployment pipelines.
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data visualization and analytics solutions.
