Non-Invasive Cardiologist (MD/DO)

Position Summary

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through the evaluation diagnosis and medical management of patients with heart and vascular disease. This role focuses on non-invasive diagnostic testing preventive cardiology and longitudinal patient care working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality evidence-based patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
  • Diagnose and treat coronary artery disease heart failure arrhythmias valvular heart disease hypertension and lipid disorders
  • Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies including echocardiography stress testing ambulatory monitoring and cardiac imaging as applicable
  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultation services and outpatient clinic care
  • Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans
  • Participate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate with interventional cardiology electrophysiology cardiac surgery primary care and other specialists
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatment plans lifestyle modification and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement patient safety and outcomes initiatives
  • Supervise and educate residents fellows or advanced practice providers as applicable
  • Comply with all regulatory accreditation and professional standards

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility

  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage complex and chronic cardiovascular conditions

Work Environment

  • Outpatient cardiology clinics diagnostic testing laboratories and inpatient hospital settings
  • Call coverage as determined by practice or service needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit stand and move throughout clinic and hospital environments
  • Manual dexterity for diagnostic testing and examinations
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for interpretation of diagnostic studies

Requirements

Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.

Must be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota depending on the location of the practice to which you are assigned.
