Job Summary The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist provides direct patient care using a variety of therapeutic procedures modalities and assistive devices. This role focuses on restoring muscle strength range of motion coordination mobility and body alignment as well as relieving pain and improving overall movement and function. The Physical Therapy Assistant practices in accordance with the applicable State Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities -
Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Implement treatment plans using therapeutic exercises modalities and assistive devices

Assist patients in improving mobility strength coordination and functional ability

Monitor patient progress and report responses to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist

Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately and timely

Ensure compliance with professional standards policies and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications -
Education: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program

Licensure: Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the applicable state

Experience: Less than one year of experience required
