Project: Retail technology systems and process integration
Location: Remote (monthly travel to Texas or Oklahoma may be required)
Type: Contract (W2 or C2C)
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)

POS systems (e.g. NCR Emerald or similar)

The Business Analyst will lead the end-to-end definition documentation and management of solution requirements for a large-scale retail system integration initiative. This role requires strong collaboration across business and IT teams the ability to navigate ambiguity during system migrations and ownership of requirements through testing and delivery.
The ideal candidate is analytical relationship-driven and experienced in retail transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities Requirements & Process AnalysisIdentify and analyze stakeholders across cross-functional retail and technology teams.
Conduct current-state and future-state assessments.
Facilitate business process review sessions and document process flows and impacts.
Elicit analyze refine and prioritize business functional and non-functional requirements.
Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform solution gap analysis and support design and decision-making discussions.
Develop maintain and obtain approval for Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
Identify business processes impacted by system migration and ensure business readiness.
Lead as-is and to-be functional workshops; document gaps decisions and impacts.
Define test strategy test cases and requirements traceability.
Support test execution through clarifications data setup and scenario validation.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production/warranty validation.
Assist in defect prioritization verification of fixes and retesting coordination.
Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM) leads to assess change impacts.
Support development of training materials communication plans and business readiness activities.
10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Strong retail industry experience (grocery retail preferred).
Hands-on experience with POS systems purchasing receiving loyalty and e-commerce platforms.
Proven experience mapping and documenting end-to-end business processes.
Strong background working between business and IT teams.
Experience supporting system migrations and integrations.
SAP experience strongly preferred (Oracle-to-SAP migration experience is a plus).
Excellent communication facilitation and documentation skills.

First round: 45 60 minutes
Interview availability: Friday (11:00 AM 4:00 PM CT) and Monday (11:00 AM 2:00 PM CT)
