GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is a grant-funded position focused on providing case management and rental assistance to chronically homeless individuals and families in Marion and Polk Counties. The Case Manager will provide direct services to chronically homeless individuals which include; eligibility screening program enrollment participant follow-ups and check-ins. Case managers will also be responsible for processing required paperwork data entry and other general program supports. This position will directly align with the Housing First initiatives.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or GED and two years of related social service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ideal candidates will possess a college degree or specialized training with two or more years of homeless service delivery experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of/or experience with: principles of the coordinated entry process working with unsheltered or vulnerable populations as well as best practices in homeless service delivery.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATION
Driver qualification status required for this position. Valid driver license with acceptable driving record for thepast 5 years and insured vehicle available for use on the
Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
Must pass ODHS criminal background check
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Basic proficiencies in computers and MS Office products database software and web tools. Must possess excellent planning organization and time management skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
Prior training experience in the following areas preferred but not required: CRP/First Aid Food Handlers Mandatory Reporting Privacy Laws Trauma Informed Care Suicide Intervention Collaborative Problem Solving and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect. Training completion required within specified timeframes to retain active employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Assesses client eligibility and aids in gathering documentation as required for intake enrollment and financial assistance.
Provides direct service to participants including case management and housing placement support to assist participants in becoming self-sufficient and overcoming barriers to accessing permanent housing.
Develops Individual Service Plans that identify participant needs barriers and strengths.
Provides monthly client home visits for each client as part of case management support.
Establishes and maintains an active working relationship with community partners.
Provides support for client-tracking service delivery follow-up reporting maintaining strict confidentiality.
Attends and engages in required annual trainings.
Maintains full compliance with all federal state and grant program/funding requirements remaining in compliance with the regulations of all funding streams.
Maintain high standards for data quality and compliance performance.
Works cooperatively with other ARCHES Project programming to ensure quality and timely client service delivery.
Complies with agency quarterly and annual reports.
Complies with all Agency policies including finance administration and safety and health policies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires on-site work and is not eligible for remote work.
Occasional urgent situations requiring law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals.
Close quarters often with a client population experiencing homelessness substance use disorders and/or severe and persistent mental illness and/or unpredictable behavior.
Exposures to trash and potential biohazards.
Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands. Occasional outdoor environment
